Julie Jakolat's diverse background in education, media, and public administration uniquely positions her for the role of Director of Fundraising at the Nevada Coalition for Psychedelic Medicines. Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from San Jose State University and a Master's degree in Media Ecology from New York University, where she was mentored by the esteemed Neil Postman, Julie has honed her expertise in communication and understanding societal impacts.

During her tenure at NYU, Julie delved deep into the nexus of media, technology, and culture, gaining invaluable insights into how to convey ideas and ignite action. Her stint as a Project Administrator at the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University, alongside her acquisition of a Master's degree in Public Administration from Baruch College, has equipped her with the administrative finesse crucial for spearheading fundraising endeavors for our coalition.

Julie's eclectic experiences, from tending to apple orchards to orchestrating memorable celebrations as a professional wedding DJ, have fostered in her a profound appreciation for community engagement and connectivity. Her dedication to sustainability and mycelial connections resonates deeply with the ethos of our coalition, while her knack for infusing events with joy and merriment underscores her ability to galvanize and mobilize supporters.
Furthermore, as a Senior Advisor and integration circle facilitator for the Sierra Psychedelic Society, Julie has demonstrated her commitment to supporting individuals on their healing journeys and fostering a sense of community within the psychedelic movement.
