Kathy Castro was a nurse assistant of seven years when she found herself in a post-op room where a patient's life slipped under her watch. Questions raced through her mind: "Why did this happen?" She delved deeper, investigating the breakdowns in systems that led to this tragic outcome. This experience sparked an unyielding curiosity within her. From that moment on, she dedicated herself to unraveling the intricacies of systems, striving to make the world a better place one task at a time.

With her background in B.S. Neuroscience and M.S. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, her fascination with human behavior, community dynamics, organizational structures, and the evolving realm of Psychedelic Medicine has always been central to her pursuits. Her driving question remains: "How can we improve?" She eagerly tackles complex challenges, driven by an insatiable curiosity that has yielded meaningful impacts across various organizations.

Her meticulous attention to detail transcends her professional endeavors, extending into her personal life. She is affectionately known as the "Empowerpuff Girl" in her community, creating inclusive environments that foster genuine expression and expansive thinking. Among her cherished memories is coordinating a medical clinic trip to Peru and Ecuador, where she provided vital assistance to underserved communities. This experience deepened her understanding of global cultures and reinforced her commitment to serving others on a broader scale.
